Thanks john, I've never been quite sure which it was. I agree, it will look brilliant on daughters car when I finally get all the repairs done( it was shunted in the rear) The front is fibreglass whereas the rear is plastic and alot more fragile so I suspect the front has been moulded off the original (it is a lot heavier than the rear) The rear showed a fair bit of stress damage as well as shunt damage and somebody had repaired it with fibreglass, but fibreglass won't adhere properly to this plastic, it needs to bonded with urethane adhesive/sealant, so I've done some reinforcing with aluminium and f/ glass and it's a lot stronger now.

Hi John
When you paint this stuff you need to add plasiciser to the paint ,otherwise it eventually cracks with flexing.
On the pic of the air dam you'll see some black squares beside the no plate area, this is where I was thinking of moulding in some extra vents for rad cooling as the original bumpers had air flow in this area. Have you had any problems with this? It can get quite hot out here in the summer.
PLans for daughters car are not too extreme.Lowered about 30mm max with progressive springs, konis when I can get them (or Bilsteins), a mild head job like I did on my own 1500 (which has worked brilliantly),conversion to solid lifters, cross over extractors, perhaps an alloy sumpguard, urethane bushes, and later on I'd like to look at a supercharger with intercooling and possibly a viscous coupling diff if I can get around the 8 bolt c/wheel problem when using the Subaru unit.

Are they not actually the same design? I know the Zender ones had the name embossed, but apart from that....???
Bob Wright makes fibreglass panels for Alfa GTVs and Sud Sprints, and also turns out Veloce spoilers for 75s and 33s.
I remember Lester (who used to be imported to UK by the same company as Ansa exhausts) also sold a copy of the Veloce kit, as well as front spoilers for mark 3 16Vs.

Hi eddie
no i did use plasiciser on mine as did'nt realy need it,plus as i work as a sprayer for cummins if it did start to crack i'll use it next time as for the bumper i have ever had problems with cooling plus im using the 16v rad which is bigger than the 8v.that's one thing you can do to help cooling down under.its an easy job but you will need a thin fan,i'm using one off the cloe, but i havent fitted it yet as im still modifing the mount for it,plus the fan's bigger than the alfa one about 12inch so better cooling aswell.can e-mail photo's of 16v rad if you need them,as i dont know how to put them on here!
hope this help's

Hi John
Very interested in the 16v rad mod and the fan( did you say a Clio, as in Renault?) I would like to see the pics via email. I think my address should be on the profile page. No need to lecture you on painting then! What a handy skill to have.

Hi Eddie
I havent fitted the fan yet, as i ran out of time on sunday and it's bean raining since then.but it all fit's now.i had to heaverly modify the frame which the fan bolts to as there's not alot of room.this is why i used the Renault Clio fan very thin and the diameter is bigger than the standard fan i think? if i ever get more time i mite change the design abit but it should work for now.just thought i'd wet your appetite when it stop's raining i will take some photo's of it all ok chap!
As for the painting i did'nt say i was any good
All the best
