This is a great site - it makes ownership of the 33 more 'special'. A true club - thanks! |

Hey John,
well I've placed the type 3 frontbumper on the series 2, it really looks the bomb...but still I'd very much like to have a front Veloce bumper. Is it the white one I saw a couple of postings down? Please contact me on my personal mail: j.i.koper@planet.nl so we can try to work something out...for instance how are we going to get the thing to Amsterdam...? _________________ Cheers,

Belated congratulations Kieth and Scott . A most wonderful forum that makes me feel like I have a worldwide family. They're all a bit crazy of course, unlike myself who has with sheer willpower managed to keep the family fleet down to mere three 33s. Oh, and one for spares, but that doesn't really count does it? Please, it doesn't count, I mean four Alfas for two drivers might make the uninitiated think think that we were a little obsessed. Especially if they knew that the wife had a Pug shopping basket as well.

Hi
I stumbled across this forum almost a year ago and its great to see how far the whole '33' thing has come since 1996 when I set up my first 'My Car' web-page. For a long time it was the only place you could download the manuals from but was never what you would call a tour de force in either the technical or informational respects... So Happy Anniversary to a much more professional offering.
Anyway - 8 years later, I still look back on my old 33 with fondness. In the interim (I sold it in 1999) I have owned a Fiat Coupe, Audi A3 and TVR Chimaera and none, not even the TVR, have lit the touchpaper in the same way. I live in Ghana now and drive a Nissan Patrol (!) but there are LOADS of 33's here. I said to my wife that I found that really strange because normally Europe only sends their crap, poorly built, badly conceived cars to Africa 2nd hand. She gave me a funny look.
Still back in the UK frequently and find myself seriously looking for a perfect (and I mean perfect) P4. There was 'one that got away' 8 years ago. I would love to re-live that!!! At present I have a battered old Saab 900 turbo in the UK. But what a great car!!
I have even resurrected my website. See www.smatterballs.com/alfa to relive the old memories. And no, at present the manuals are not there - but I may upload them over Easter where I have access to a proper internet connection (I get connection speeds of 21 kb in Ghana!!!)
Take care and drive stupidly

James,
Thanks, I remember downloading the 33 manual in '99 on a 33k modem. Oh it took ages. Yeah it was the only place to get the manuals.
Maybe you need to get back into the 33 scene.
Look forward seeing you around here more often
