G'day All
I was just heading back to my office after lunch when I was pulled up in a police breathaliser check. No I hadn't had anything alcoholic for a few days. But the copper had a look at the car, thought it was a GTV at first, then said "The motor sounds good".
So I will take that as an official approval, and I thought it was too loud. Of course I didn't open the throttle wide.
By the way, the electric water pump has been working perfectly both on the highway and in the city since I fitted it about 6 months ago. Bit of an exercise to get the plumbing right but it hasn't gone over 90 degrees since and we have been having a hot summer, many days over 30 degrees and up to 38 degrees. _________________ Ken McCarthy - 16V Sprint |

You should have revved it a bit!
My college is situated right next door to a police station. I've lost count to the amount of times I've nailed it up the road, only to realise that there's a police vehicle behind me. The sound is great - it amplifies off all the tall buildings which surround the road, but I've never been stopped! I've even had a police guy smiling and looking at the car; perhaps he was an Alfa enthusiast. |
