Apart from black for earth there isn't really a standard colour for anything.
I have the wiring diagrams for the Sud and Sprint in a Haynes manual and it says that the colours should only be used as a guide as they have been known to vary wildly for the diagram, and on some cars the wires even disappear into the loom one colour only to come out the other end a completely different colour!
I don't know if that is the case with the 33, but anyhow they can vary a lot dependant on the model.
I think I have some 33 wiring diagrams on a workshop manual CD somewhere, but I'm sure someone out there must have some to hand that they can email to you if you state the model and year of your car.

Dont talk to me about alfa wiring...I think they built the car and then said oh bugger we better put some lights and stuff on it...theres a cupboard full of odd wires over there we can use them and we can all use our plastic lunchboxes to make fuseboxes out of...no-one will ever notice!!!

heheh good one well i think u're right...see i have a bog black wire that connects to a metal thing in the ground so i say to myself "okeedokee this might be the ground wire...lalalala" turns out it aint the ground wire but the wire to warm up my seats....funny thing is that it wasn't under my seat....but behind the dashboard?????????????so when i took it and cleaned it, since it was really corrosed..i noticed that all of a sudden my seats started getting warmer and taaadaaaa my seat warmers started wroking...now maybe i need a ground wire to warm my seats up but...then why doesn't the big ass black wire work as a ground wire for other things such as my stereo, my neon lights etc....anyways i gotta find it out and im worried like hell cuz i really dont understand anything out of electricty and cars...but in the case ill do what my friend did to his mazda, does'n start from the ignition key but from the wiper lever and when he presse's his fog light buttons his stereo starts playin... |

Hi all
Alfa wiring was originally designed as an IQ test for Albert Einstein as the standard tests weren't challenging enough

Just yesterday I wired my engine fan so it could keep going when the ignition was turned off. I must have offended the Alfa wiring god though, because when I stalled my car while looking for a park, the fan was going but the engine would hardly crank over!
I had to sit there in the road and wait for the fan to stop.
Also my digital clock keeps resetting, I suspect a loose connection in the lunchbox. |

Hi
Not many things that stand out. Generally black is earth, red is live and pink is live when the ignition is on.
All the best
