Hi,
Don't know if this is usual, but when braking and once you get to about 20km/h th car seems to loose engine braking. Any ideas? Thanks _________________ John H

Mine's the same....
Either it's because you have a dodgey clutch, or you're just not used to the 'free' nature of the Alfa engine? _________________ Fiat Bravo 165 Sport |

Isn't that obvious? If you are in gear with the engine running, and even you don't put your foot on the accelerator, you still will find yourself moving forward (or backward). At that point you have zero engine braking . Simply the closer to stationary rpm the less engine braking power.
Cheers,

Thanks Guys!
I have a twin carb 33 that doesn't have the same symptoms -that is you don't get the feel that the car is free wheeling. Therefoe, it's either something peculiar to the fuel injected version or the clutch is stuffed. I don't think it's the latter as the clutch and brakes will stall the engine.
Anyone else have any ideas - such as vacumn hose or other fuel injection paraphanalia that may result in this behaviour (which is different to the carbed version)? _________________ John H
