Comrades,

The stock alloys on my 1988 S2 1.7 are looking a bit shoddy. I'm a self-confessed skinflint, so I'd like to have a go at painting them myself.

Anybody done this before? Any tips? Is it worth doing, or is it going to look a real hash-up?

The paint has come off in places and there is some underlying oxidation and roughening of the alloy.

Has anyone seen the stock wheels in a different colour? I thought it might look nice with the stockers done in a metallic black or metallic charcoal gray instead of the silver grey standard. Car is red.

Thanks.
Best Regards, Munro.
