sorry for the late update, haven't gotten a chance to go to the track yet.

so far did 2 trips to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (700km per roundtrip), non stop driving averaging 4-6k rpm on 5th gear (140-180kmh), managed to push the car up to 210kmh a couple of times, no problems whatsoever! Very Happy Very Happy yes we do get a little crazy driving high speed on the malaysian highway. speed limit is 120kmh but some cars run in excess of >200kmh all the way, and we do have an 'unique' way of getting around the traffic laws, which is not proper to discuss here.

will try to make it to the track asap and give another update. cheers Cool

Driving on a race track and down a highway are two different things.

1. Highway, your traveling at a constant speed, say 150kmh, there is ALOT of air being forced through your radiator (your fan won't even be switched on, fans become pointless over 60kmh, unless your vehicle is towing a trailer or doing hill climbs). You will find your vehicle will rapidly increase in heat if you stopped.
2. Race track, This puts enourmous load on your cooling system, constant deceration and aceleration and your not traveling at a constant speed.

Do not run your 33 boxer without inhibitors, you will soon blow a head gasket as these heads on these engines corrode rapidly.

If you have prepared your vehicle for racing you may need to look at (as said before) a Radiator flush which involves using chemicals, a Block flush to remove impurites our of coolong system, over time water and coolant leave a build up in your systems internals acting as an insulator limiting heat transfer.
Your system is pressurized to increase the boiling point and limit and remove air pockets from cooling system.

Is there a possiblity you engine is Leaning off at any stage?
running lean produces poor burn propergation, meaning the fuel/air mixture will burn slower and longer creating more heat. (also damaging exhaust valve)

i wouldn't be focusing so much on your coolant, but more on your system as a whole and the operation of it.

just my 2 cents worth

Matt

check your fans/fan are rotating in the correct direction. If for some reason the polarity was screwed up in the radiator change, you will be pushing very hot engine bay air through the radiator when the switch turns on.
