What do you wan't to improve?
Response time, stoping distance or only stoping distance whetn they heat up? _________________ Tino Vatavuk

tvatavuk,
Thank you for your reply. I guess I would like my brakes to be more responsive in traffic situations. Braking distance to be shorter for when emergency braking is needed. My 16V has custom air intake system aftermarket full exhaust from engine back extractors and custom exhaust running on Autodelta chip. I have also KONI Reds front and rear. My car drives a bit quicker than stock 16V's but my brakes needs improvement. I dont want to spend thousands just for better traffic driving.
My research has led me to a company in Melbourne who sells custom kits. CSC Competition Sports Components at 7 Trade Place in VERMONT Victoria can make a custom kit to suit Alfa's. The kit consist of a pair of 343mm two piece rotors with centre aluminium hat hard anodised with 24 slot face, 4 pisto hard anodised aluminium brake caliper with differential sized pistons, caliper mounting brackets, brake pads and braided stainless steel hoses - teflon coated. Price is around $2,800.00AUD fitted.
I have seen these brakes on track fitted on Subaru WRX's and Nissan Skyline Gts-T's and GTR's. From what I have been informed by drivers they pull up very well.
Anyway if anyone has a spare $2800 this brakes are certainly the go.
Cheers! |
