Did you want to sell the clutch off Ebay? If so how much? _________________ (00=\°/=00) (00=\°/=00)

Hi again,
and thanks for your questions.
Ref the clutch - there are a lot of people watching that auction, so it wouldn't be fair on them to end it early, sorry.
Ref the shell, it's a 1987 shell ... I'm never quite sure of the difference between series 1 and 2, I think it might be series 1 but aren't 100% certain. If you want to know more I can scan a photo and email it to you.
I should have put in the original ad - email me on alan.abbey@ntlworld.com with any more questions.
Cheers,
Alan |

Alan,
wish I had seen these earlier! By the way how much do AH charge for them? The standard bearings are just pants. Any problems with contamination of the white metal due to the machining?
Thanks

Hi Chris,
The machining of the bearings is very good - I think they clamp them in a jig, so the surfaces are covered by the jig and protected. There is no damage / contamination I can see.
AH charged £60 a set for mine; I had those as spares plus another set which went into the engine and have only run for an hour! They were bought in Jan, price varies I think depending how much AH have to pay for the base bearing - on my receipt Adrian added a note to say they are becoming hard to get hold of nowadays.
Cheers

John,
I'd rather sell the shell complete if possible, with windows etc.
