Hi guys,
I have a P4 and would like to know if anyone could give me some advice. Whenever i turn full lock (eg. doing a u-turn) i notice a shuddering or vibration. I know it's not the uni joints because i've just had them checked and one of them replaced. Any ideas?

thanks
Bill

Make sure driveshaft isn't hitting exhaust or gearbox cage. Otherwise I think it just happens.

Hi,
ticking is normal, and maybe little shivers but loud banging & a lot of vibration is not.
Never force speed on full lock, if you need full lock go very slow.
If all four UV joints (crosses on ends of propsafhts) and propshafts are ok then you should look at other things:

1. first visco coupling mount (closer to gearbox) should be without cracks/soft
2. chasis mounts for fisrt visco mount like to unweld of even crack part of chasis, check that those are sold without cracks on chasis
3. all 4 tires must be same size (hight/width/diameter) and preferably same manufacturer.
4. second visco mount also should be cracks free
5. rear propshaft should be greased from time to time.

Where do you grease the rear propshaft. Is there a grease nipple?
