A 1993 Alfa 33 Boxer 16v in Grey.
Picked it up on thursday.
Got the recaro leather/alacantra interior which looks like it hasnt even been sat in!
Wooden momo alfa steering wheel.
No rust on the car at all.
Full service history (serviced every 3k miles)
48,000 miles with all old MOT's!
I absolutely love it! Such a beast of a car!
So will probably be on here quite regular now! |

Hi Matt,
Welcome to the forum! I'm a newwie here too but already i've found many useful hints and tips on keeping the 33 alive. If you can you'll have to get some pics of the beast on here. |

Welcome - did you buy the car on e-bay? I saw one that matches your car's description recently, it looked a cracker.
Must be pretty rare to have such a low miler, lots of us are on 100,000 miles plus!!
Post some piccies when you can

Hi,
You must be the owner of one of the lowest miler 33 16vs. My '93 16v is now on about 61,500, which I thought was low.
I bought my car in April 2001 with 53k on it, as it was the cleanest 16v I could find at the time, although the engine was a little rough running. The rough running got worse, culminating in an almost fully burnt out valve! That is when I discovered the 'old' discserver 33 forum which morphed into this PHP one.
It has been a constant source of help and info since, including supply of parts etc etc.
The alfa 4 cam 16v engine is a bit of exotica, for us mere mortals! It does however need the TLC it deserves.
Enjoy!

Hi guys sorry for the delay.
Yeah it was on ebay, but I went round and offered him cash which he couldnt refuse.
It is a low miler indeed, am currently in the process of getting it perfect, things I had to do:
New rear silencer
remove dent from front wing, replace grille and respray bonnet.
the bodywork is at the expense of the council who did the damage when the last woner had the car. So once she is 100% perfect I will put pics up!
The only thing I dont like about it is it has a few small dents in the bodywork, seems like these 33's are quite weak in terms of solidity of panels!
Also picked up a ecu re-map chip. This has made a huge difference. The car is much better all the way through the revs and apparently the rev limit is at 7.5k rpm (I dare not try it!) also alot smoother idle!
Its great to be here guys.
Also signed up to alfaowner.com which seems ok, however this place is much more dedicated to the 33!
Any details of meets / italian car shows let me know guys, i will be glad to make it! |
