You're right, there seems to be hardly any 33s around anymore. I haven't seen another on the road for over a year. I remember the AROC day at Gaydon a couple of years ago was supposed to be the 20th anniversary of the 33 and there were probably only about 10 there.
I suppose loads are getting scrapped as they're not worth anything to anyone other than us lot. I think Alfasuds went through a similar phase and good ones now seem to be going for reasonable money. |

Yes - a real pity. I only see them now at AROC stuff, and even then only a few. _________________ Fiat Bravo 165 Sport |

I think you'll find there are still quite a few though they are diminishing fast. 3 years ago there were 207 permanent 4s in the country, though we've personally scrapped three since then. I've got two TIs and a 1.7 series 2 and a permanent 4 running with another P4 having a head gasket change and my girlfriend's got a 1.7 series two aswell. There's a white IE up the road in Halland which I see regularly in Tescos and there's a family with three 33s in Buxted and that's about all I see in my area just east of Brighton. The drop in the number of 33s turning up at Alfa owner's club events over the past few years is definitely noticeable, especially series twos let alone series ones. There was an immaculate basic genuine 40,000 mile 1.3 series 1 at National Alfa Day this year which has just gone on ebay for £700. The only figures I have were from 2002 and there were just 16 of this variant left in that year. The rarest variant was the series one gold cloverleaf - 10 registered in 2002 and the most common was the non-cat 1.7 IE with the number of the devil - 666 - registered. _________________ Owner's Club 33 Registrar.
