This car is for spares in France or for use in UK. It is at my house, near Carcassonne. It will be available for the first reasonable offer in about 2 to 3 months' time. It is perfectly roadworthy.
I bought it in England 2 years ago to put the injection engine in my wife's Sprint, but I liked it so much we have been using it ever since, for nearly 10,000 miles.
Now it has to go because of continuous licencing / SORN latest rules, I need the space, and I can't afford to insure so many cars.
I still intend taking the engine, but could replace it with the Sprint 1.5 QV unit (same bhp) if someone wants it driveable.
Colour is "Verde Myrto Met", code 364. Bodywork is virtually rust free except for around filler cap. There is a repairable crease in the left front wing where I caught a metal bracket on the side of my house when parking.
After arriving here from UK I replaced many parts, including all suspension springs and shocks, front strut bearings, rear wheel bearings, drums, and shoes, front brake pads, and had the power steering rack rebuilt. I found a near - new 33 in a local yard, from which I got 4 correct alloy wheels ("telephone dial"), an approved towbar, and a Km instrument panel complete (I still have mph panel), as well as a few interior trim parts. Front (Michelin) tyres were new a year ago. It has not been used since the insurance expired in January.
There is also a set of MiM 7J x 15 H2 OS 36 wheels & tyres (3 are OK), and lowered suspension, included. _________________ Dick Flower, Nr. Carcassonne.
