Hi...

Get the carbs, from a 1.7... Fit a K&N (or similar) air filter. I prefer those that fit inside of the original air box, because those that fit on top of the carbs get much hot air...

Thats about it... You can also improve the exhaust....
But there`s not much more, you can do, without start spending lots of money.
Keep the carbs, well tuned and balanced, use the standard Golden Lodge plugs...

Hope that helps

Agree wif the carbs. I think cheapest and easiest way to get power first is to up Venturi size to 34-36(best done in 40mm carbs) and then up the main jets to match. And also the tiny exhaust should be up'ed to 50mm after the extractors section. Of coursew if possible get the 1.7 extractors.

Err and being 1.5, Do expect low end to be affected if you are uprating the carbs. The 36 chokes work very well in my 1.7 but i don't think the 1.5 should go beyond 34. But there bound to have high end gains. My suspect is that it might bog a little.

Have fun!
