| i have recently converted my 1.7 ie to a 1.7 16v but i can't get it to start.i am not getting 0v at the coil which is controled by the ecu.does anyone know about inside the ecu what makes the coil get 0v,is it the rev and timing sensor that gives the signal for the coil to get 0v or does something else control it.i have tried a spare ecu and a spare sensor but i still dont get 0v.all the 0v input to the ecu are ok as i can test these but it still does not make the output.can anyone help before i go insane. |

Hi
ECU should interupt the earth to the ignition coil, based on the crankshaft position sensor. As you are not getting an earth with the engine off I would start looking for an earth wire you have missed
