Sorry, I know this subject has been touched on recently so I apologise for any repetition.

I just got another engine for my car (a 16v with cat) and I want to change the plugs before it goes in. The plugs that are on the engine at the moment are Bosch ones with 4 electrodes (they looked pretty black around the electrodes when I took them out for inspection).

I thought that the recommended plugs were platinum ones, I think NGK ones seemed to be the most popular on the previous thread - how much are they? The Bosch ones are about a fiver each - anyone tried them?

Thanks

Rich

Platinum NGK ones that should go in 16v have only one electrode and are probably around 10-15 quid/ each.

Hi Rich

Ive used the super 4's in the last three cars ive had. hf turbo the 8v engine and now the 16v with no trouble.if you go to a boy racer shop they will cost you a fiver each.try partco they should be abit cheaper.theyve been in the car for last three years with no trouble.

I have a 16v without cat, and the best plugs i used were the NGK.
The Lodge, were shi. The Bosch were better, but the NGK are simply the ones...
They last longer, and improve the throtle response a lot...

All the best
