Hi guys, currently the engine in my M&W Spyder has an odd problem
Its fitted with a Sud Sprint 1490cc twin dellorto motor (95bhp) with Marelli electronic ignition
At about 3000 rpm it will intermittently change pitch as if the throttle pedal is being pressed and released slightly, rpm stays the same though.
This happens when I am sitting on constant throttle cruising but not when accelarating decelerating.
Cruising below 2500 and above 3500 it seems fine
Also though the rev counter will go erratic at about the same rpm, and jump several hundred rpm, oddly not when the engine plays up. Think this may be be a dodgy made in Brazil VDO rev-counter. As have heard elsewhere they can be like that.
No idea if they are related
Any ideas?
