Thought I'd introduce myself as I've just registered.
Steve's the name. Currently living in Burgundy, France with my gf, the cat and two 33s. The old QO is a bit tired so I've just acquired the Nuova 1.3 i.e.

I know the grill on the QO is a series 2 but the car is a series 1. Honest.
Not sure what to do with the QO. It's on the rusty side in the usual places. Still goes alright but the insurance is running out and I don't think I can justify renewing it. I'll be going to England soon and was thinking of giving the QO one last trip to the homeland. Anyone interested in it? Left hooker of course but I may break. I've got someone in Le Havre interested in the dashboard and other bits. I may end up taking the car back to Le Havre if it's less hassle but I'm still sentimentally attached to the engine and dream of owning a SudTi one day.
More pictures of the 1.3i.e. here where I saw it first and jumped on. http://www.forum-auto.com/automobile-pratique/section6/sujet204789.htm _________________ Alfa33 QO 1984

Forget the QO. It's staying in France. Le Havre to be exact.
Watch out for the metallic blue 33 on the roads of southern England shortly... _________________ Alfa33 QO 1984

Hi,
The 'petrol' blue s3 looks great (except the door of course). Never seen one in that colour before. Original for the french market???
Is QO- Gold Cloverleaf?? If so i had a QO sud way back.
Cheers,

Thanks for the welcomes.
Yep Gold Cloverleaf or Quadrifoglio Oro. 1.5 single Weber 85bhp and long gearbox.
The blue one is in great nick now I've given it a good service, changed the exhaust and fixed the gearbox leak. The rear door's a bit straighter now and I do have a spare if I want to change it.
Not sure about the colour but it's the only one I know like it. The car was first registered in Belgium.

Hi,
The series 3 33 looks very straight indeed... Please don't take me wrong but the car would really like a set of "proper" rims ...
By the way does anyone know the reason why the dashboard grill directing air to winscreen shows this kind of stretching? I have seen this happen in many 33s and I really have wondered about.

I may get a set of imola wheels for it. At least the one's I've stuck on (admittedly without due thought) don't look as daft as the ones with the five bolts.
I've decided not to touch the warped grill. You get used to it but it is a strange phenomenon. Probably heat related I should imagine. _________________ Alfa33 QO 1984
