Im to change the brake hoses and thinking to go for the STAINLESS STEEL (from brembo ?)
Do they worth the money(150euros)? Question

Is the braking any better?
I own a 33 1.4ie model of 1992 front vent disks from 16V and rear drums
Any advise or opinion is welcome Very Happy

Never used them personally and I dont know if they improve braking performance (would think not) but they are probably more durable and therefore longer lasting.

they do improve the brakes slightly they take the spongieness feelin out of the peddle as they dont expand and they dont rot

I haven't tried myself, but are supposed to improve braking, less spongy as already stated.

But they are less reliable, more prone to splitting at the joints, and you need to make sure they are approved for road use. ADR7 in Australia.

They get used on race vehicles, but as the race vehicles get scrutineered a lot more than road vehicles, problems are picked up earlier.

I remember a racing drive was asked if he would fit them to his road vehicle, he said he would not for the above reason.

Hi

Very commonly used on bikes on the road. Biggest thing to watch out for is to make sure you do not buy ones with alloy fixings. These tend to corrode inside and then fail without warning.

Properly made ones should be fine.

Down side is that if they run on anything they will tend to wear through it, and the braiding will also be damaged (and the hose under the braiding will not take the preasures otherwise).
