look for the bolt that goes into the rear plate at the back of the engine that the distributor goes into, undo that bolt and the distributor should just pull out. _________________ Scott Sander

I'm fitting mine back in right now!
It is a tight fit, try some WD40. Once soaked in it should be easier to pull out - small twising left and right movements.
good luck |

I think once again this due the different metal : iron and alu ! There are chemical reactions.
Do you ever try to change a waterpump !!!
Mine has the same symptom. I should apply some delock oil and WD40. The day after, I could turn the distributor.
Ciao

That circlip is so frustrating if you are trying to get it back on in hot weather. I couldn't do it. As a result I shoved my youngest brother into the footwell and he did the job in two minutes
Out of interest, how did you manage to get the circlip back on without circlip-pliers? |

Stick a run of weld to the iron part this will crack the fusing between Alu and iron coz if this has happened you will only budge it with extreem heat. |

Hi
I had a problem years ago trying to get a dizzy out. Landed up using a chain wrench (for taking oil filters off) to shift the dizzy. Fortunatly it was a scrap dizzy.
All the best
