Hi everyone

I have noticed that on the left hand side of my car, there is a knocking noise when i am driving. I have checked that everything is still attached, but i might be missing something. Can anyone give ideas on what it could be. It seems to be coming from the front left and sounds like when something bumps the floor of the car.

Hi,

Check the wheel bearings and the bushes in the lower control arm.

What does it steer like?

Hi

The steering is fine apart from the strut pan bearings which i have yet to fix. I don't think it is the wheel bearings though. Will check the bushes.

check that exhaust is not contacting body they are not all made well.

I get the same sort of noise from my Sprint. It happened before I changed to the 16V front (ie original) and still does it but less with the later suspension. It only seems to come from the left. Maybe it is trying to tell me to replace some bushes? If you track it down I would be interested to know. I have had the whole front end stripped out when I upgraded the engine unit but there was no evidence I could find.
