I've done a search to find some info, but I got a little confused (easily done at the mo!)
I've looked at a P4 thats in fair to good condition, only problem is the gear lever is very floppy! Selects gears OK, just the lever is all over the place? I take it there are a few bushes that have worn or need replacing, if so is this a difficult job for the average mech?
Thanks all, good site by the way! |

Every 33 has floppy lever if you comapre it to lets say Ford Focus, but if you compare it to other 33, then answer is yes you need to change bushes on linkage and average mechanic can do that.
Be sure to have 2-3 brand new safety rings (clips) that hold gear linkage to selector rod that exits gearbox. Once you take those out it is just metter of time when they will pop up if you put them back.
