Yet another post folks, whilst i try to get to problem of cooling problems, are there two different temp senders for coolant temperature? My dash temp guage is well down since cold spell suggesting thermostat, also getting a misfire like i get when running hard, wondering if fuelling being overdone due to temperature problems. Read an article somewhere suggesting one sender drives guage and ecu, is this correct? seems odd. most cars i've looked at use two seperate senders, or maybe im dreaming all advice gratefully recieved

Hi,
There are four sensors for temperature on the 33. These pictures are from an LE3 system (IE version)... although the purpose of each sensor is the same across all versions - they may be in different places.
Sender for ECU :
Sender for dashboard gauge :
Sender for red warning lamp (above temperature gauge) :
Thermocontact for switching on and off the radiator fan :
Hope that helps. If you need diagrams for other versions, please let me know and i'll post them up.
Thanks!
