Hello to everyone
I have few engine running problems in my 1,5 twin weber Sud Sprint, the rews dont want to come down as fast as they should . What might be the possible reason - ignition timing or some carb adjustment needed.
Secondly where does the rew counter gets its signal, it doesnt want to work all the time .
And all that happening at the weekend where`s not much help around
Thanks in advance

The rev counter is run by a plastic tube sensor thing that pushes down into the top of the gearbox of this has been pulled partially out it will function intermittantly so check. If not it will be a problem inside the rev counter console itself.
As for the revs dropping off slowly are the accelerator cable/linkages returning to tickover straight away it may need lubricating. If not are all tubes/connections air tight, check them. |

Hi
The speedo drive is on the gearbox. The rev counter picks up a signal from the coil.
REvs sticking can be lots of things. Check for an air leek after the carbs
All the best
