Made a faux - pas (french for cock-up) while making some vernier cam pulleys .
Has anyone got any spare AD or SD cam pulleys, drivers side (UK) inlet and exhaust as I might need some ?

what are AD / SD pulleys? Are you after the main pulleys/cogs that the belts go on or something internal? _________________ Owner's Club 33 Registrar. Now from P4 & S2 1.7 QV

The drivers side pulleys on the camshafts are labelled AD/SD and on the passenger side they are labelled AS/SS.
First letter is for inlet (A), or exhaust (S) and the second letter is for position, D is for cylinders 1 & 3 and S is for cylinders 2 & 4. This letter is also cast into the back of each cylinder head
I have bu**ered up modifying a pair of drivers side pulleys . I am converting them to vernier pulleys. Being the numty that I am I have modified both sides in the same way . This means that the bolts to allow the teeth to move are positioned next to the cylinder head on the D side. This defeats the purpose somewhat as they cant be undone without removing it. I can salvage half of the conversion but need another pair to modify .
Hope this clarifies what I am after

Yes and A stands for Aspirato (intake cam), S stands for Scarica (exhaust cam) |
