Well, I just hope that Alfa Sprint is the highest level!

Otherwise you are asking for some heated arguments Twisted Evil

By all means go ahead and discuss different points of view, just keep them clean and non-offensive.

Best to stick to logical, non-emotional arguments, stating facts and be prepared to back them up with reference material.

Hi

There are 8 ranks, although I reserve the right to change that later. The highest rank is not Alfa Sprint, it is another model. By the way I own a P4 Laughing

All the best

Hi,

From what I can see it goes

1 ) ?
2 ) ?
3 ) ?
4 ) ?
5 ) ?
6 ) Alfasprint
7 ) Alfasud
8 ) Alfa Arna

and Keith gets the lonely title of Site Admin, poor Keith Crying or Very sad

Note: I had to put a space between the number 8 and the ) cause it thought it was a smiley

It's a nice idea to have a ranking system to display the members post rate or time spent on the forum. But every guest will think that this is an Alfa Arna club Embarassed . A bit misleading isn't it?

Friends of mine, we all know which one is on top.

Taking into account that all the candidates had already been rolled out by the time that the "car of the century" survey was carried out, and the Sud was the highest ranked among all the FWD alfas, it's clear that Suds are on top.Wink

Actually, just an excuse to come up after a while and post my first message in this updated forum.

I can also proudly announce (just to myself, I guess..)that my sud is going out of the metalwork stage of its restoration process. It's got new front mask, new front left door, new bonnet, new rear mudguards, new front strut body reinforcements, new tail panel, new rear doors. When I say "new", I'm saying original ricambi originali parts, with the labels still glued...I think of it and start whipping. sniff sniff.

Regards / Raul

By the time that the 33 came out, which was basically a rebodied Sud, it wasn't geting the great reviews that the original car had. Models from other manufacturers were catching up.

The Sud is considered a proper classic car by most non-alfa classic car enthusiasts. The 33 will never be seen in the same light.

As we all have different ideas about what the best car is, I think that this new ranking system is crap, unless the Sud and Sprint are the top levels. I prefer the old cloverleafs.

Yes, and I know that my own car is a 33 based Sprint.

I wouldn't take it so seriously...nobody can take away our right to close our eyes for a while and think to ourselves "I've got the one"

Sorry,

That was me. The 33 is a classic in-the-making. My car gets so many admiring looks even from non-Alfa drivers. Virtually everybody turns their heads, male and female, young and old.

Cruise into the old village square in the summer evenings, past the verandas and people simply stare and go quiet, or whisper "look at that nice car."

Even some individual with a beautiful silver 360 Spider smiled in appreciation the other day.

I went to a girl's party last month and her (rich, beer-baron) father spent 15 mins admiring the car. His wife came out and said "Aren't you going to come in honey?" She saw the car and asked "Nice, is it new?" He replied faintly "Yes...it's beautiful."

I've had pretty girls run up to the car and open the passenger door and remark "James, what are you doing in this expensive car?"

In underground car parks, when the car's waxed bodywork gleams under the lighting, fellow Alfa enthusiasts look in disbelief at the condition. Their jaws drop slightly, they remain motionless and stare with a boyish glint in their eyes.

Parked safely underground next to the other Italian cars at college (including a Maserati 3200), I can't help but smile as my 33's unique charm overpowers the subdued elegance of the rest.

I believe that every Alfa is special, but the most special one always remains your own. I would feel uncomplete without my 33.
