this is wierd but been using the 33 today, given the 155 a day off. And noticed when in 3rd gear for a while, say in town, going uphill etc the car revs will die then suddenly come back again.

Car doesnt cut out and it only does it once while in 3rd, then fine, if I go to 3rd again, 10 mins time might do it again, might not, but only in 3rd gear. WTF!!!!

Could the gear linkage be pulling on something, any ideas??

Does the engine actually misbehave or is it just the rev counter?

If it's just the rev counter, let me know if you find the cure. Both my cars have misbehaving rev counters, each playing up eratically and in different ways. Wink

Hi

Try a full tank of petrol and see if it still does it.

Only thing I can think of is that in 3rd it is managing to accelerate hard enough to slosh the fuel in the tank away from the pickup, and do it for long enough for this to be a problem (and going up hill will make this more likely).

All the best

Keith
