Hi everyone! Just introducing myself. I've been an Alfa afficionado for roughly five years now. Before then I was a Porsche nut (hence the user id, which I've been reusing for years so I don't have to remember a new one).

My first Alfa was an '84 Sprint with a twin-carb 1.5, which had not been well maintained and cost me a lot of money.

My second Alfa was a beautiful little '82 Alfasud Ti, with the single carb 1.5, which had been well maintained. That drove beautifully all the way from Adelaide to Canberra, lost its speedo functionality half way, and was then written off a week later by a P plater with bald tyres who ignored a give way sign. Such a shame!

Here's a pic:

My third, and current Alfa is a lovely '88 Alfa 33, with the twin-carb 1.5. This one's been maintained since new at the same Alfa workshop by an eccentric, obsessive lady, and so is in pretty good shape. Unfortunately I can't garage it, so the paint and plastic are starting to fade. I polish her up every now and again though, and put plent of wax on, but it's a shame.

I have named her Bella (because she's Italian and beautiful), and I've spent about $3000 in maintenance over the last six months, $2200 of which was in the last month, but she's running beautifully now. Probably it's my own fault because I like to give her a bit. She seems to beg for it though!

Here's a pic:

I sold my immaculate, low km '98 MR2 GT to buy her (you can see the nose in the picture), and couldn't be happier!
