Evening all,
Been a while, so I thought I would say hello.
I must confess after loosing my P4 to the jeep, and the new chassis being rather maggot ridden, I haven't posted.
Worst still, I no longer own a 33! After 4 of the things, went for a facelift 164 cloverleaf, which was great until the abs choose to ignore the fact I was still moving at 25 mph, locked up and put it into a lampost.
However, I know have a very nice '05 166 3.2 Ti, which I would recomend to anyone, although I think I will one day get another P4. I do fancy trying to create an out and out trackday variant, as i don't know of many being raced.
It must be said, I have joined AlfaOwner to get info on slight gremlins with the 166, but it is not a patch on the knowledge or friendliness of this place!
Any way, hello long time no see and all that _________________ Regards

Hello Matt.
Nightmare about the 164 but i'm sure the 166 is easing your pain quite nicely Interesting thought about putting a P4 on the track, would be interesting to see how much difference the 4wd makes in the dry, in the wet it would be no contest of course! |

Hi Matt
Just the other day I was passing the Haynes Motor Museum, (where you introduced me to the old P4) and started wondering whatever happened to you and if you were still in alfa land like the rest of us fools.
Anyway question answered.
Glad your still one of us and look forward to seeing another nice P4 one day. _________________ Presntly own

Hello, would be interested in how you could transmit more power to the rear if you went for the P4 ultimate track day car, If I remember the car only puts 10 percent max power to the rear and I wonder how the Gearbox would cope!?. _________________ PHAT 33 |

Hi
In normally bimble mode the P4 puts a tiny amount of torque to the rear wheels. However as the front wheels start to spin the viscous coupling starts to lock and it will eventually put the torque 50 / 50 to each end.
All the best
