p4 gearbox wiring

when i dropped my engine & box out i pulled the connector off the 3 wire plug on gearboxso now need to know which way round they go 1 is shield ,no prob but now i have red & white wires & black & blue.Does the red connect to black or blue? Thanks, Nick
