Hi,
I'm wondering if the RHD to LHD conversion on a Minari can be easily done from a technical point of view, assuming i can get a donor LHD 33 for parts (steering rack...).
Specifics items are the headlight units (Mazda?) and the dashboard (i fear it is not reversible).
Any comments appreciated.
Regards,

Hi
Headlights were Mazda MX3 (tail lights were Mazda 121, and you will need those also to put the fog light on the correct side I think). I know the factory built lhd ones using the same shell (and for the wiring I think they just turned the look upside down). Dashboard might be a problem but they kept the moulds and should be able to produce one as a spare part.
Only slightly iffy thing would be filling in the hole that the pedal box pokes through on a rhd car.
All the best

Hi Keith,
Thanks for the answer, it looks feasible to me, i have yet to sort out all of the legal subtelties involved in importing such a car, as regulations here literally prevent any custom built car from being used on an open road.
Best regards,
