Iain......it was well cheap last year!
Lets have a look at the evidence:
Villa £120
Ferry £43..........return........Bargain!
Spa tickets £50-£100 depending what you do there
Food beer £100
See.......bugger all really.
BUT, If you do it my way then there's a few hiden costs
Transport back to Dunkirk from some layby on the E3 motorway £600
Transport Dover to Devon £600
Parts for rebuild for engine £400
You can't put a price on a few good laps of the best circuit ever though

There are 6 rooms and it's £774 plus approx £130 for electric and gas. That's a total villa rental of approx £900 (give or take). Unfortunately, we have a poor £ against the € at the moment
Anyway... if you're interested, pm me, I'll send you my address and pay £150 deposit? We'll sort out any differences later (if anyone needs/wants to share or whatever).

Been looking at ferry prices. Best I can see is £53 return unless we go at some stupid time in the morning/night. |

Hi Paul,
The details are on the ferry website at www.norfolkline.com
We'll arrange all of this in due course so we all go over together like we did last year.....get a bit of a convoy going! |

Hi chaps... I've looked at several websites which are supposed to give cheap fares - but none seem as cheap as the aforementioned www.norfolkline.com.
Last year it worked out really well, 8am crossing out and 4pm crossing return. The villa is booked for Friday to Friday - last year we actually stayed Friday to Wednesday. I'll be doing the same this year, or my liver will explode (or wife may kill me, or possibly both). The departure at 8am seems early, BUT two hour crossing and then another hour on for CET make for an 11am arrival in France (just in time to get into Belgium for lunch and a beer!)
So, 8am crossing on Friday 12th June, and return 4pm on Wednesday the 17th.
No-one is bound by these rules of course... but this is when I'm going/returning and the same as we all did last year (apart from Lee).
Last year, on the way down, we stayed at John's place (thanks mate) but it's unknown whether he's coming this year, or whether we'd be welcome again ! I'm sure we'll sort something out otherwise.
BOOK NOW.

Yeah.........I think I got the 8pm return crossing
Right then, 8am on the Friday it is then. I may be coming home on the Monday/Tuesday due to holiday restrictions around that time but i'll find out for sure. |
