Only caught the last 5 minutes, so will have to watch repeat.
Saw the end of the hamster driving the Daytona to the Riviera- the stuff of my dreams!
The daytona is my favourite ferrari- i'd have an f40 , and a super-america gets close-ish to the daytona for class, but the daytona is the daddy.
Hey what's your favourite ferrari/supercar everyone? _________________ If it aint broke, fiddle with it until it is!

Daytona is nice but bit of a dinosaur even when new. My favourite supercar is the Lamborghini Miura - that stuff that Hammond spouted about the front end going light when it reached high speeds is rather ill informed and only true of the earliest models and was cured when the P400S and P400SV were introduced. Top Gear always jump on the band wagon and are often wrong....
Lambos have always crapped on Ferraris and are much more individual, and in todays market I think Ferrari have really lost it styling wise, I don't like any of their current models and I think the whole brand is rather naff (Ferrari themepark in Dubai? Pah!) |

Following on from that Rich...
Interesting bit of rubbish marketing was the "Ferarri Laptop".
A £490 laptop, painted red with Ferarri logo... yours for a snip at £2499.
Yeah Rich I agree with ya (there's a first! )... more money spinning over real substance and style.

Oh yeah! - I might be wrong but I think there is one of these in the film Kill Bill. Michael Maddisden(?) possibly has a beat up one outside his trailer, at the point where Uma Thurman is going to get buried alive.
That could all be wrong- as it's over 4 years since i've seen it .

Hi
I pity anyone who buys that Fiesta when it is retired from the press fleet. Footwells full of salt water will get it rusting pretty quickly.
All the best

Will probably end up on a forecourt as an 'ex demonstrator -low miles'.
Id never ever buy a 'real' ex demonstrator which is basically a pool car. Everyone in the garage will have used it to get home/ thrash down the shops etc, and it'll have been loaned to irrate punters who's new cars are late, in for repairs etc etc. They usually call the bigger cars 'ex management' - again avoid.

Really pissed off, just did a long post about a friends Daytona and all of a sudden it dumped. Bloody computers. Anyway my pick for a favourite supercar is a Gallardo. Try telling Jackie Ickz (not sure of the spelling) about the Miura's high speed stability as he went off the road in Italy at 180mph
Incidentally my best friend has a buddy whose brother (Bob Wallace) was chief development engineer for Lambo and used to test the latest Miuras etc in the mountains. Some motoring scribes have described trips with him which sound mildly terrifying. I think he used to commute to work daily about 100miles or so in a Miura

Hey Eddie,
Are the Kiwi's getting "Top Gear Australia"?
We've had to endure their first series before they put the "Proper" one back on.
Also, Does anyone know which episode the alfa challenge is in?
Cheers

If you use Opera or Firefox rather than IE then pressing the back button should still have the text fields there filled in.
All the best

Morris marina owners club, lol
Did anyone actually see the one show??
4 ringed cock, wizard’s sleeves.
How come it took them so long to talk about the tesla, as it’s been around for a while now?
V8 power rocking horse
Anyone interested in watching the Alfa Romeo challenge again, its repeated on Dave on sat 20/12 @10:00
What is it with the annoying BBC and not being able to stick to a schedule? Yet again I have to watch the repeat on Sun because it cut off the last 30 sec or so, ffs!! _________________ x2 33 16v

Did you see "batteries not included" John Cleese took one for a test drive. Lol hes, what, 8ft tall, he had trouble getting in. If i had the money i would buy one, but i would have a recording of a V8 attached to the throttle cable. _________________ x2 33 16v

I've got tickets too - maybe I'll see you there!
At the moment, Top Gear has finished in NZ and we're waiting for the next series (they have to wait until each series is sufficiently out-of-date before it's declared fit for screening here). We haven't seen any Top Gear Australia TV show - probably a good thing cos if Aussie motor mags are anything to go by, it'd be Holdens and Fords all night every night. _________________ "Now, all that is left to do ... is wait that something else brokens, to fix up again!" |

Ben,
There are quite a few episodes of Top Gear Aus on YouTube. Did a search for "top gear Australia". First clip I watched was about a Holden... so clicked another and it was about Fords! _________________ Fiat Bravo 165 Sport |

I couldn't tell you just yet - I'm getting my ticket(s) free through my mother (who has done the NZ website for the show) but I haven't received them yet to check what day they're for. Mum's on holiday in India just now too - I'll ask her later. _________________ "Now, all that is left to do ... is wait that something else brokens, to fix up again!" |
