Hi folks, dont need to buy a whole headgasket kit but seems that is the only way to get 4 new exhaust gaskets! Does anyone know if these are available separately in the UK or if other makes have an equivalent or same sizing to the 33 exhaust gaskets. My other thought was to make my own but unable to determine if there is a universal material available to make your own exhaust gaskets! Would reusing the originals with plently of gasket goo be advisable??
Tks in advance, Rosco |

Stop! don't buy any gaskets!, buy some high temperature silicon sealant, I have used this now 3 times with no failiure and its better than the original gaskets as you have enough for several more applications. It was recommended by Ade Hawkins (ah motor-sport) as gaskets fail under the loads of a race engines. Good tip for everyone me thinks . _________________ PHAT 33 |

Hi,
don't use silicon paste on catalyst fitted cars as it will damage the catalytic converter (chemical problem)
also beware of exhaust paste as some debris might clog the catalytic converter, too.

Interesting advice Oggie. You have a brand name for that, as not all sealants are the same etc...

Better late than never eh Bobber, anyway the High Tempeture silicon sealant is by Granville, but i have been informed you can use any high temp sealant. _________________ PHAT 33 |
