I have heard that this is a common issue, and it has done it on both our 33s to date (not my Sud - no power steering ) :
On full steering lock (right up to the stops), if I dont have any pressure on the throttle pedal, then the engine stalls, even with the clutch down.
The RPMs are a bitt erratic and maybe low on tickover - related? |

Hmm.... My 1.7ie always reduced it's tickover RPM over time. (I think vibration affecting the adjustment screw)
You never know - your 1.7ie could be just like my last one - just 1/4 turn on the idle adjuster screw on the fuel injection should do the trick!
(And to make it last - tackle the missus for some of her least favourite nail varnish - red always works best but anything that sparkles nicely, dripped onto the screw adjuster should prevent the need to re-adjust in a couple of months time - just like I didn't do, sorry!) |

Possibly also experienced this.... im guessing noones found the actual cause? previously explained by car knowing that its arrived at the end of its journey (full lock with no throttle = parking!). _________________ Alfa Sprint QV - Gone to a better home and in happier health for it
