Well, after some years of Alfasuds and Sprints, I finally got myself a 16v 33. Actually, I got two (total €400) so that I can make up one decent car. It's the right colour (red), and it has all the bits and pices like ABS, Air Con, power steering, power windows, centra locking etc - a hell of a difference from my non-power-anything Sprint 16v.
Not without its problems though - when the air con didn't work, I industriously checked the fuses and relays and wiring to no avail, only to later discover that the two condenser radiators were missing from the front of the car - DOH!!!
The workshop info regarding the air con, and the 16v specific stuff is pretty conspicuous by its absence. If anyone has the schematics and or pictures of the air con, especially the pictures of the condenser installation I'd be a very gtareful recipient.
One of the cars has the Alfa Control - should I bin it or install it? |

Well, my Alfa Control just flashes random misleading errors!
I understand other people have them with no problems though!
Judge for yourself!

Hi,
I do have a CD with various manuals including two about the A/C
They cover the series1 33 A/C (carburatted) and the Nuova 33 (IE).
I think it suits you as the latter covers the 1.7 IE 16V.
Mail me for further details.

I had a Sprint QV, then a Sud QV, then a 33 P4.
12 years after the first and I've gone back to a Sprint. That's what you call progress!
As for the Alfa Control....can you fit it in with a big on/off switch for when you get tired of the disco lights?

I have no experience with Alfa Control, but I'd keep it as a fully stocked original-spec car. |
