What would happen if you put a 65amp alternator in place of a 55amp one in a series 2 car?
Would there be any problems? _________________ Owner's Club 33 Registrar. Now from P4 & S2 1.7 QV

There must be some problems? More petrol consumption?
Power fluctuations? Why don't all S2 cars replace with 65amp alternators? _________________ Owner's Club 33 Registrar. Now from P4 & S2 1.7 QV

hi paul, i did this swap 2 years ago and no problems only bonuses, my battery does not go flat so quickly, better starting power and if your like al who fits amps and other ancillery electrical bits, the car should cope better. _________________ PHAT 33 |

Andrew Hird in Hereford has just bought a 65a alternator off me for this very reason, he is an auto electrician and gives the idea the thumbs up. _________________ 155 sportpack
