My last tank of fuel was mainly motorway or fast A-roads and I did 356 miles with 9.9 gallons. My best previous consumption figure was about 33.5.
Interestingly it was a tank full of the new Shell 95 octane that claims to have a new efficiency additive.
I had to fill up with BP, it will be interesting to see what the next tank gives me. _________________ '93 Black 33 1.7 16v |

Hi
My P4 couold barely stretch to 30mpg.
The old 1.3 carbed series 3 would manage 39mpg on a long motorway run sitting at 80~90mph. But then it would also be down at 20mpg around town.
All the best
