Might be up for it this year as it's down my end of the country (ish).

The AROC website is not clear on what non-members arriving in an Alfa will pay, the standard £16.50 rate or the reduced £10.95 rate.

I believe that if you can show an AROC membership card you get the discount.

Also I think you need to get there fairly early or you will just be in the general carpark.
Paul may have a better idea tho,

Not a member I'm afraid. It's so much more expensive than other clubs and I've always assumed that's because the non-racing members subsidise the racing ones.

Sadly it looks like we have a prior commitment on the 17th, a shame as I was really looking forward to a 33 get together.

Yes I will be there

Spring Alfa Day - Sunday 17th April 2011
Imperial War Museum Duxford,
Cambridgeshire, CB22 4QR

I think that the club is trying to push for a more exclusivity for members with an area purely for AROC members.
Info I have at the moment is:

More than 1,500 Alfa Romeo owners and enthusiasts are expected to ‘land’ at Duxford on Sunday 17th April.

We are delighted to announce our main sponsor, Marshall Alfa Romeo of Hitchin, will be attending with a large display of new and used models.

The AROC Club Shop will be presenting its 2011 collection of AROC merchandise and the event will be supported by a number of trade and private stands offering parts, accessories, miniatures, literature and models.

The dedicated AROC entrance will open at 09:30 and will close at 13:00. AROC members using this entrance and who do not attend the event in an Alfa Romeo, must produce a current AROC membership card. Spring Alfa Day will finish at 16:00 and the Museum closes at 18:00.

Paul do you know, is there to be register areas for different models or just a mish mosh of everything?

Looks like their membership theory has worked then. Confused
This only tends to happen at expensive museum venues rather than the 'big house' ones and it is a really good museum.

http://www.aroc-uk.com/spring-alfa-day/index.htm

Do you want me to scan and email you the advance entry form? (Entry £9.50) It needs to get to them by 1st April (next Friday)

I'm thinking of doing the same. Which level did you go for and did that secure you tickets? AL33NUT

...or should I say, did that manage to secure you tickets at a discounted rate?

Paul sent me a form to get entry for £9.50 in advance, but a membership card should give entry for £10.50.

Don't know about levels of membership, it cost £47 (ish?), including the initial £7 joining fee and 1 year membership.

For the Alfa Romeo Owners Club (not to be confused with the website Alfa Owner which does have different levels of membership)
the Club membership fees are based on an annual subscription of £40.00 for single or family membership (husband and wife or partners only in joint names).
A joining fee of £7.50 is payable by new members.

Pensioners (Aged 65 & Over) and students (Aged 18 to 25 Inc.) pay £30.00 pa plus £7.50 joining

The £7.50 is a one off so when you renew its just £40.

Thanks that's helpful. I did indeed confuse it with alfaowners club. Good man! Thanks for your help.

Well done for joining John and Nnamdi.

If there isn't any registered parking shall we meet outside the gates? At least then we can get some sort of 33 line.
