Hello Guys,
I bought a Sprint green cloverleaf build in 1985 with mechanical speedometer. Now I saw that there´s an engine with gearbox from a 33 is mounted.
So my question: Is it possible to change the speedodrive from electronical to mechanical or otherwise, is it possible to swap the mechanical speedometer into a electronical w/o much modifications of the Sprints instrument panel.
Sorry for my bad english, but I´m from germany.

Kind regards
Walter

Dont really know that well the differences. But i think that you have to change the gearbox, to make the mechanical speedometer work.

Later Sprints, had the engine/gearbox/front brakes from the 33, so they have already the electronic speedometer. If you can, try to find one of this speedometers.

Not true, Paulo...
Later Sprints still came with mechanical speedo...

It is possible to change some parts inside the gearbox to adapt it to the machanical speedo.
I just dont know if it is possible to do it with the gearbox in the car, but I think so...
