hello

I want to lower my 33 but dont want to ruin the ride to much, currently have some cheap lowering springs on it made by lesjofors but the ride is awful.Ive looked on line but cant find much if anything available.Back in the day i had eibach springs and they were great but not available anymore.Has anyone got any info on parts available or secondhand setups they want to sell ??

thanks
andy

It may not be just the springs causing a bad handling car, check your rubber bushes (16 of them) if your satisfied the you can try poly bushing your car , even with standard springs it would improve handling /turn in.

Also remove the innards of your front shocks and get some Koni inserts put in, but to do any of these will cost plenty unless your good with the spanners.

Welcome to Alfa pages Smile

You can lower the front with standard springs.
You need to find out what strutpan bearing are on the car.
If they are the type that has the bearing poking through the strut pan, which the rubber dust shield goes on for the shock, then you can fit sud spring pans.
The sud spring pans sit lower than the 33 ones, allowing you to lower the car.
For the rear, there are 2 types of top rubbers, check to see if yours are the tall type, if so swap with the shorter type.
