Which is the best guide for stripping and rebuilding engine

Usually use Haynes

1351 8v 301.68 code

The haynes manual for the sud is the only one that covers the boxer engine.

Id recommend taking a look in the workshop lounge. There are two recent threads with links to technical manuals there. They'll have all the info you'll need.

Yes Haynes manual 292(red) covering Suds and Sprints to '88. The later sprints were based on a 33.

The 301.68 is covered in the supplement. I would imagine it has shims for tappet clearance adjustment but removing the cam covers will confirm it.
