Just purchased some 16v belts with what I thought were tensioners, but all I've got is just the pulleys.
How do I get the old ones off and the new ones on the tensioners without damaging them?
Anyone Question

You'll probably need a press to push out / in the pins on the tensioner bodies.

I think once I got away with using a big vice, but the last time had to take the tensioners to a local garage with a press.

Yeah, I figured that would be the case. Bit annoyed with the seller who said that the kit did contain tensioners.

I was told yonks ago your better off replacing the whole tensioner mechanism rather than just the pulley's especially with Alfa's poor reputation of them letting go.

Contitech.
Got the bearings/pulleys pressed onto some spare tensioners this morning by a local garage for free. Smile
