Hi,

I've scoured the manual but I can't find the following data.

If anyone knows or could unclip the bulkhead plug on their s3 to find the following I'd be really grateful.

1) Voltage at car/instruments side of plug
2) Resistance on the sender side of the plug.

Cheers,

John

no idea mate,

but there is a specific wiring supplement for S3 cars here:

Does that help, or have you exhausted this avenue already?

Thanks.

I just wanted to know if the values I'm getting were correct before I start taking things apart. The voltage 'clocks side' of the bulkhead plug is very low.

Speedo just started doing the old intermittant thing then died, and I checked the bulkhead plug connections and even fitted a NOS sender I'd had in the garage for about 7 years to no avail.

It's electronic so I would imagine the voltages are low anyway.

When the speedo starts doing that it's usually soldered joints in the speedo itself that fail I think.

ZP did a thing on them on his (french) Imola site http://alfaimola.free.fr/technique/electricite/compteur/index.html
