I've just welded a big patch onto the bottom of my aged Supersprint back box which I hope will see it last another few years, but wonder what if anything is available these days as a replacement?
I'm guessing the best option now is getting a bespoke box and or system made up in stainless by an exhaust specialist as there doesn't seem to be anything left available- although I did see a NOS Ansa box online, but it was about £300!!
Cheers,

CSC exhausts in Italy still make stuff for the 33, manifolds, centre sections & back boxes are all available, see their catalogue here:
EB Spares are Uk distributors so if you give them the part number of what you want they can order it for you, delivery time is usually a couple of weeks but bear in mind Italy shuts down in August for the summer holidays. I ordered a CSC back box from them a while ago & it was around £90. Excellent quality, perfect fit & developed on a dyno so proven performance benefits unlike one from a generic stainless steel exhaust company who would just copy the original. Unlike the Supersprint back box, the CSC version exits in the correct place so you won't have a strange looking unused hole in your bumper any more |

Hi Rich,
Thanks for that, the CSC back box looks good, definitely on my maybe list now.
Unfortunately I cut a lovely large (too large ) 1/2 oval out of my bumper when I fitted the Supersprint as I thought it might melt, but I guess I can graft and fill this in again...
How's your 33?

No probs, CSC don't have them in stock, everything is made to order but it doesn't take too long once you place the order. I ordered mine with a slightly smaller tailpipe, 70mm rather than 80mm so it looks a little more discrete, the sound is awesome.
Maybe you could ask Alex if he has another bumper? Shouldn't cost too much to have it painted.
My car is MOTd and was back on the road for 300 miles (4 days) but now back at the bodyshop having some further remedial work done. |
