for some reason wen i go to lock the car from drivers side on the front and rear drivers side doors lock its the same if i try and lock it from passenger door only the front and rear passenger doors lock as u can imagine this is very annoyin ne1 got ne ideas

Sounds as though it might be something to do with the relay or its connections behind the centre console.

even more weird:

when i open the driver door to the full extent, the central lock kicks in and out and in and out..
if i close the door it stops!

that will be due to exposed wires where the wires go from the door to the body. over time they wear out and when they touch the metal body they ground with the 12v required to activate the CL. I have this from time to time and will eventually fix it. EARTH, the cause of most Alfa electronics problems.
