hi
the other day, i've been fiddling a little with wiring under the hood (fog lights non working), and when i made a test (switch the lights on) with the driver door open, i heard a bell, which lasted for 2 seconds then died.
this make me thinks i have a "lights forgotten on" reminder device somewhere in the car (series III, 1.3ie Imola)
i'm surprised, since this is the first time i hear that.
can anyone tell me where is the device located?
thanks in advance
regards,

Hi,
it's located below the dashboard, to the right of the steering column. Right next to the indicators relay.

Hi all!
thanks for the reply.
unfortunately on my series III the device is located somewhere else : it's in the center of the dashboard, you just remove the plastic compartment under the heating/ventilation control panel, and behind you got two devices like big relays, hanging on wires. the white one is the beeper.
just cleaned the contacts, then got it working again!
i also got rid of the klaxon non working, fog lights non working problem, it looks to me there was a short circuit or broken insulation or wire in the circuit somewhere : after cleaning connexions, checking continuity, claning switches and swapping relays, i ended up disconnecting the wires and making my own good quality harnees for klaxon and fog lights (1.5mm˛ wires, good earth connexions, and so on...) now everything works!
by the way i don't know how alfa dared to put so thin wires for the front fog lights, they're long since there's no local ground, and prone to heating anyway.
now the lighting is brighter than it has ever been! i guess it would be a good idea to rewire the headlights, too...
regards,
