In summary, NOTHING. Dont understand why youd want to - its an alfa! I suppose you could put the badges on. I will laugh at the car (and you) if you do though.

It really does seem an odd question! The cars are totally different....

If its a lancia you want, I do happen to have one for sale Smile

About the 33/147 merge:

For sure original, but ... disgusting. The sharp edges of the 33 and the smooth lines of a 147 just don't match.

That was an artist in me speaking Laughing

of course i would never change my alfa for another car...the reason i asked was cuz my bumper is fucked and an new alfa bumper here costs 600eur while a lancia one costs 200...so thats why i just thought bout being more economical...but chit happens

Hi,

Why dont you look at the scrapyards? They have most of the parts and mainly the most important thing is that when you fit it in your car nobody will understand it since it will match the age of the car.
Imagine buying new rear lights and the other side being faded away from the sun ... it will get to your eye. The same goes with your bumper.
A slightly used one will suit to a 10 (at least) years old car without looking half new half old.
Also the price will be lower - a friend bought two headlights, two side mirrors and a flashlight no more than 90€.
I had bought a front flashfight and the two rubber boots fitted in the vent holes located in the pillars these just above the snork thing that you see when you open the front doors; I had payed 14€ all of them.
Hope this helped you.

Regards,

But the plate under the bonnet of my 33 says I've got an Alfa Lancia - under the bonnet of my previous 33 it said Alfa Romeo! (And my wife's Dedra actually says Lancia!)

Does this mean I can fit a Delta HF turbo engine to it?

It says Alfa Lancia spa or something, am i right?
If i'm correct Alfa and Lancia were put together as a group for a while.
Because both Alfa and Lancia had sporty aspirations.
That's just a guess ofcourse.

Ehm.......a HF Turbo engine in a 33?
I don't think it will work, you have to modify the whole engine-bay.
There is one Alfa that has a Delta Turbo engine under the bonnet, that's the 155 Q4.

As i understand it, the wonderful Italian government are the cause for the whole Alfa-Lancia-Fiat fiasco.

Basically, the individual firms went grovelling for cash to the government, in return for keeping lots of Italians in jobs. The government, being a good, family orientated sort of business, said yes but with strings, eg the 'sud' being built in the south of italy (where there are more poor italians to employ and keep out of the dole office). On one such 'cup in hand' grovel the condition was to 'merge' brands. This worked well enough so that the next time it happened, Fiat got to 'merge' with the Alfa Lancia group.

Ferrari are technically Fiat as well, but I beleive they are making in roads to demerge themselves from the ailing Fiat group, before they get merged with GM!!

Sorry guys, the 33/147 hybrid is a Photoshop fake! A very good one, but a fake nonetheless. Wish my car were as easy to modify!

Try T.Muukkonen in Ähtävä or Arto Tiippana in Purnujärvi near Imatra. They sell used Alfa parts. Muukkonen (or some srapyard he works with) buys old Alfas from Sweden for parts.

No fooling you Matthew!!
Yes I was bored one evening and decided to have a little play with a pic of my car.
I am currently working on a 156 front end for it as someone suggested on here.
I must say though I am surprised if it did fool anyone at all cos I thought it looked pretty bad after about 3 hours trying to match the paintwork.
I wish it were that easy to tart a car up as all the paint is peeling off my front bumper and it looks awful at the moment.

Sweet job I thought - only the edge jags gave you away. In my haste to be clever I forgot that anyone with an ounce of mechanical knowledge would realise the transplant was nearly impossible!

The biggest problem I found was getting the paintwork to look real.
And the front of the bonnet looks as if it has been bent down with a hammer.

it was good for a laugh anyway! I wish cars were that easy to fix up too. well, i know that photoshop re-touching isn't always easy too... but it doesn't cost as much money as real life hey. It's pretty good, but the curves leading up to the frontmost headlight have something wrong with the perspective - i'm not sure what... but it just doesn't look quite right on that drivers side corner.

Not quite. Fiat had no real financial problems until the last couple of years. They bought Lancia over 30 years ago. In the mid 1980's the Italian government wanted to sell off Alfa Romeo (who were state owned). Ford and Fiat were the main bidders. Fiat paid the higher price and bought Alfa.

All the best
