Maserati and Alfa are still part of Fiat but if they did break off then they could team up with Rover as they are desperate for a partner..... Just think the Alfa Metro or the Alfa Meastro good bed fellows for the Arna

It won't happen. Fiat are finally doing well, and they will be doing even better next year with the Idea, Panda, Panda 4x4, New Multipla, etc.

Alfa will probably end up with Ferrari-Maserati. They are starting to share technology (ie engines/transaxles) and are suspiciously being placed next to the two super luxury brands at motorshows. If anything does go horribly wrong, Volkswagen or BMW will probably buy them up.

well ill be damned before some german company buys my italian beauty....u cant mix italian elegance and beauty with german fascism Very Happy compare a VW golf and a 33....isnt it plain obvious....no no no....alfa would b better of alone...plus ever since the launch of the 147 and 156 alfa's stocks have gone up by 20%....and i've been followin it only since last year...so i think we'll b ok for now

I'd be overjoyed if my 33 was a blandly reliable and had the build quality as my old mk2 Golf. Hasn't the latest Lambo gots loads of german kit under the engine cover?

But thats why we buy Alfas....They have character.
No-one should ever buy an Alfa expecting it to behave like a VW,BMW or a mondeo etc

funny thing is that not only do alfa's look better they also have better engines...even though even i must admit that nothing can beat the master minds of the german AMG's and M's...they truly are pure genius...but still excluding those two id say alfa makes one of the toughest, fastest and best motors around
