In MLB The Show 26, durability is one of those under-the-radar stats that can make a huge difference over long runs. It shows how unlikely a player is to get hurt, and for pitchers, it also affects how fast they recover stamina between starts. Basically, higher durability means more games played, fewer bench days, and less risk of losing your star players when it matters most.

Top Durability Players (Diamond Dynasty & Live Series)

If you’re looking to build a squad that lasts the entire season or grind long Mini Seasons without worrying about injuries, these players are your go-to picks:

Cal Raleigh (C, Seattle Mariners) – With a 97 durability, Raleigh is a tank behind the plate. You can rely on him game after game without fearing nagging injuries.
Albert Pujols (1B/3B, Signature Series) – =Legendary durability, often 99+, reflecting Pujols’ Iron Man career. Perfect for heavy-hitting lineups.
Troy Tulowitzki (SS, Milestone Series) – A 99 OVR card with elite durability. Great for shortstop-heavy rotations where you need someone steady.
Miguel Cabrera (1B/3B, Milestone Series) – Another veteran legend built for the long haul. You can play him almost every day without worry.
Felix Hernandez (SP, Awards Series) – For pitchers, durability isn’t just about injury. Hernandez’s high rating lets him recover faster between starts, keeping your rotation consistent.
Durability in Franchise vs. Diamond Dynasty
Franchise Mode: This is where durability really shines. High durability keeps your stars on the field, avoids “Season Ending” injuries, and helps you manage day-to-day lineups without losing key contributors.
Diamond Dynasty (DD): Injuries happen less often, but durability still matters—especially for pitchers. A durable starter can bounce back quicker after a high-pitch-count game, which is huge in Mini Seasons or Ranked Conquest.
Maxing Durability in Road to the Show (RTTS)

In RTTS, your custom player usually starts with 44-50 durability. You can boost it over time with these methods:

Training: Select durability-focused training sessions between series.
Equipment: Certain cleats, gloves, and ritual items give a +Durability boost.
Performance: Playing full games without being subbed out steadily increases natural durability growth.
